A Special Gift from Dean Sorenson

Tritone trombone faculty member Dean Sorenson (that lucky dog!) recently had the opportunity to spend time in Door County and couldn’t help visiting Bjorklunden. He described it as “eerily quiet” but still a magical place to be on a beautiful day.

Dean also had the great good fortune of dinner with Suzy Sturm and a chat through the window with our friend, the fabulous Bjorklunden director Mark Breseman.

For those of us who don’t have that great fortune this summer, Dean left us this beautiful gift — a heartfelt solo version of a most appropriate tune.

I was a little sad at first, until a tide of wonderful memories came flooding back.
