Photos by Don Jackson

Get to know Don Jackson. He’s the dedicated photographer who’s responsible for most of the Tritone at Bjorklunden photos you see on this site.

Every year, Don accompanies his wife, pianist camper Carolyn (“CJ”) to Bjorklunden. Every year, he seems to be sporting a new piece of photographic gear. And every year, the hundreds of photos he tirelessly shoots during the week get better.

Quietly producing great stuff in the background is not new to Don.  He spent 37 years as a chemical engineer at 3M, part of the R&D team that gave us Post-It Notes, AFFF (the fire-fighting foam used at most airports today), ceramic fibers for space shuttle tiles, and Fluorochemical rubber.

Now, as a retiree, he takes pictures – lots of pictures -- not only at Bjorklunden, but at college jazz festivals and concerts, and for the Twin Cities’ JazzMN Orchestra.

He also builds HO model gauge railroads in his basement, and guides tours of the Jackson Street Round House (just a coincidence, I’m sure) of the Minnesota Transportation Museum in St. Paul.

Thank you, Don, for years of capturing every element of the Tritone Wisconsin experience, for making our website “pop,” and for sharing your wonderful images with any camper who asks.
